Welcome to the weekend. Celebrate St. Patty?s day in a variety of ways this weekend including grilled cheese and beer pairings, scotch samplings at the Wine House, or via a variety of bar crawls in Little Tokyo, Downtown LA, Culver City and Santa Monica. Second Annual Grilled Cheese & Beer Tasting Event
Hollywood (7-11pm)
The Second Annual Grilled Cheese & Beer Tasting Event at Vintage Enoteca is three nights of beer and grilled cheese gooeyness. It?s the latest installment of their non-traditional tasting series: three inventive grilled cheeses each paired with a different craft beer. Pairing include Gruy?re, poached pear, lemon butter w/Weihenstephaner Vitus Weizenbock; D?affinois, arugula, hazelnut gremolata w/Gouden Carolus Tripel; Aged cheddar, candied bacon, abuelito chocolate w/Lost Coast 8 Ball Stout. Get three 8oz beers and three single serving grilled cheese sandwiches for $25.

NoHo Dine Out
North Hollywood (5-8pm)
The NoHo Dine Out Fridays features live music every Friday including a half a dozen food trucks, local arts and craft vendors, dog adoptions and more! For directions and a current list of featured vendors check out there web site.

The Basics of Scotch @ The Wine House
West LA (7:30-9:30)
The Wine House presents, The Basics of Scotch, covering all regions and production methods in terms easily understood by both novice and aficionado. So even if you think you know the difference between a Western Highland and an Islay, rest assured you will still gain some new insights tonight and get to wash them down with some great scotch. Nick & Stef?s Steakhouse Meat 101
Downtown LA (8pm)
Every third Friday of the month, Nick & Stef?s Steakhouse hosts a Meat 101 class. This installment is themed ?Cheek to Cheek.? Participants will explore the different cheek cuts of meat, including pork, veal and lamb. The class takes place from 8 p.m.-9 p.m. and costs $40 per person (includes pairings, excludes tax and gratuity). Reservations are required. Please call 213-680-0330.

Shamrocks & Green Shots St. Patrick?s Food & Drink Crawl in Little Tokyo/Arts District
Downtown LA (5-10pm)
Start your St Patrick?s Day early with Six Taste Food Tours? Shamrocks & Green Shots. Your $50 ticket gets you 5 drinks and 5 food items at 10 different restaurants and bars in the Little Tokyo/Arts District. The crawl starts at 5pm and goes till 10pm. Get early bird tickets for $40, otherwise they are $50 at the door.

Casey?s St. Patrick?s Day Street Festival
Downtown Los Angeles (6am-2am)
Casey?s Irish Pub is home to the biggest St. Patrick?s Day celebration in Los Angeles. Come celebrate and honor your patron saint when Casey?s takes over two city blocks that will attract 20,000+ thirsty revelers! Green Beer, Bushmill?s, Food and a live musical line up that will make you want to drink more. This year on the outdoor stage they welcome the Young Dubliners 2pm-3pm, Hollywood U2 (tribute to U2) 4pm-6pm, TNT (tribute to AC/DC) 7pm-8:30pm and Led Zepplica (tribute to Led Zeppelin) 9pm-10:30pm. It will be the biggest, best, St. Patrick?s Day event of the year! This event is free! If you are worried about getting wet, they will be tenting the whole street to shield the festivities from the rain to keep you dry.

Celebrate St Patty?s day with a double dose of ?The Craic?
Downtown LA (11am-2am)
Kick it off at 11am at Villains Tavern with live music, cocktails by mixologist Dave Whitton, plus an Irish BBQ paired with a half pint of Guinness and a shot of Irish Whiskey for just $14. Drink specials include $5 Irish Whiskey Shots and $10 Mix and Match Guinness and Irish Whiskey. Entertainment for your ears includes JT Ross and Speedway, The Evangenitals, and The LA Hootenanny. Then hop on the FREE shuttle bus for more fun down the way at The One Eyed Gypsy. Continue drinking $5 shots of Irish Whiskey and $8 Pints of Irish Punch with happy hour specials from 3-8:30pm. The Santa Monica ?Luck of the Irish? St. Patrick?s Day Pub Crawl 2012

Join hundreds of other beer drinking leprechauns at The Santa Monica ?Luck of the Irish? St. Patrick?s Day Pub Crawl. Put on your favorite green outfit and hit up over a half dozen different bars along main street for drink specials all night. Including $2 draft beers, $3 mixers and $4 shots. The 18th Annual Hermosa Beach Saint Patrick?s Day Parade
Hermosa Beach (11am)
The 18th Annual Hermosa Beach Saint Patrick?s Day Parade is set for Saturday at 11 am. The parade begins at the staging area near the tennis courts on Valley Drive (near 11th street), makes a left onto Pier Avenue, turns left on Hermosa Avenue and ends at Hermosa Avenue and 10th street.

St. Patty?s Day Specials at City Tavern
Culver City
Chef Jessica Christensen is celebrating City Tavern?s first St. Patrick?s Day with a Corned Beef Hash (house-cured pastrami over crispy potato cake with heirloom carrots and braised cabbage) and Honeyed Whiskey Bread Pudding with stout caramel special. The bar will have its own Dew & A Brew special ? a free beer taster with shot of Tullamore Dew ? in addition to California-brewed Irish Reds & Stouts on tap and bottles of Smithwick?s, Wexford Cream Ale and the like. They will be starting the shenanigans early and opening the bar at 12pm, then the kitchen will open at 3:30. In desperate need of some Irish luck come Sunday? Swing by starting at noon for a St. Patty?s hangover lunch and Irish beer specials. Hair of the dog.

St. Patty?s Day Whiskey Tasting and Baking Class
Culver City (3pm)
For this class, they will focus their baking instructions to all things Irish Whiskey and Spirits! Upon arrival, students will engage in a tasting of the spirits that will be utilized in their dessert recipes, including Irish cream and Irish whiskey. Then, students will receive their recipe packets and get an overview of the underlying science behind the recipes from Chef Chrysta Wilson of Kiss My Bundt Bakery. Students are then teamed up to make the following recipes: Sticky Guinness Cake with Toffee Sauce, Bailey?s Cake with Irish Cream Buttercream, Irish Cream Bread Pudding with Whiskey ?Caramel? sauce, Irish Cream Mousse Pie, and Irish Whiskey and Cream Gelato. Every Sunday, Potato Chips, the cheery Beverly Blvd sandwich shop by Steven Arroyo will be serving up a Sunday Supper. The four course menu will include items like Sweet Onion Parmesan Velout, Au Gratin Spring Squash with Herbed Bread Crumbs, and Braised Beef Brisket with Crispy Shallots and Garlic, followed by a house-made dessert.
